Measure the animal
Snoods should be snug but not tight so as not to bother the animal. Here are the essential measurements:
Head circumference: measure around the head, passing through the crown of the skull and under the chin.
Neck circumference: measure around the neck, where a collar would sit.
Length of the snood: decide the length based on breed and needs (eg: cover the ears to protect them from the cold)
Ear size (for snoods with ear openings): If you want to make openings to leave the ears, measure their width and their position on the head
